Subscription Management

Table of Contents

How to Access the Billing Section

Open the Billing section by clicking your User Avatar (top right corner) → Workspace Settings → Billing.

The Billing section contains three subsections:

SubsectionWhat You'll Find There
Active PackageSubscription status, management buttons, card details
PlanChange limits and plan type, price preview
InvoicesList of downloadable invoices, billing information

Access to the Billing section requires the "Manage Billing" permission — if the option is not visible in the menu, contact your account administrator.

Changing Your Plan (Upgrade / Downgrade)

To change your current plan, go to Billing → Plan and select a new set of limits or a different plan type.

How to change your plan:

  1. Go to Billing → Plan
  2. Adjust subscription limits by moving the sliders or entering values manually
  3. Review the updated price in the Your Price section
  4. Click Buy! — a confirmation dialog will appear: "Are you sure you want to change your package from [current] to [new]?"
  5. Confirm the change

Restrictions When Downgrading:

Reducing limits is not possible if your current data exceeds the target limit. In that case, Sembot will display a message indicating what needs to be removed:

SituationMessage
Too many input products"You cannot purchase a smaller package, you have too many products. Remove some products or keep your current package"
Too many output products"You cannot purchase a smaller package, too many output products. Remove some products or keep your current package"
Too many projects"You cannot purchase a smaller package, too many projects. Remove some projects or keep your current package"

Before downgrading, you must first remove the excess resources (products, projects).

Canceling Your Subscription — What Happens to Your Data

The Cancel Subscription button is available in the Billing section.

How to cancel:

  1. Click Cancel Subscription
  2. Confirm your decision in the dialog: "Are you sure you want to cancel your subscription?"
  3. Optionally fill out a short survey about your reason for canceling (you can skip it by clicking Skip)
  4. The subscription is marked as canceled

What happens after cancellation:

  • Access to the platform remains active until the end of the paid billing period — the date is visible in the Billing section as "Active until: [DATE]"
  • After this period expires, the account becomes inactive
  • Data (projects, products, campaigns) is not automatically deleted — it remains on the account

Cancellation reasons (survey): Sembot asks for your reason for canceling — you can select one or more:

  • Price is too high / doesn't fit the budget
  • I don't see enough value in using the tool
  • Interface is too complex / difficult to use
  • Insufficient onboarding
  • Missing features I need
  • Technical issues or bugs
  • I switched to another solution / competitor
  • I'm temporarily not running campaigns or a store, or no longer need the tool
  • Other reason (with the option to elaborate)

Reactivation After Cancellation

If your subscription has been canceled but the account is still active (during the paid period), you can resume it at any time.

How to resume your subscription:

  1. Go to the Billing section
  2. Click the Resume Subscription button
  3. Confirm in the dialog: "Are you sure you want to resume your subscription?"

After confirming, the subscription returns to active status and will automatically renew according to your selected plan.

The Resume Subscription button is only visible when the subscription is canceled but the account is still active or in a trial period.

Updating Payment Details

Payment details (credit card, billing information) are managed through Stripe, an external payment portal.

How to update payment details:

  1. Go to the Billing section
  2. Click the Payment Settings button (credit card icon)
  3. You will be redirected to the Stripe portal, where you can:
    • Update or change your credit card
    • Update billing details (address, tax ID)
    • Download invoice history

Card statuses visible in the Sembot panel:

StatusDescription
Your card is currently linkedThe card is active and ready to be charged
Card is unlinkedNo active payment method — a card must be added

Important — no card during the trial period:

If the account is in a trial period and no card is assigned, Sembot will display a warning: "No payment method is assigned to your account. After the trial period ends ([DATE]), your subscription will be canceled. To avoid an interruption in service, please update your payment method."

To manually unlink a card, use the Unlink Card button available in the Billing section.
