Registration and Login

Sembot offers two ways to create an account: classic registration with an email and password, and login through an external identity provider (SSO). Both paths lead to the same place — the Sembot panel — but differ in how passwords are managed and how you log in going forward.

Table of Contents

Email registration vs. SSO

Email registration

  1. Go to the Sembot registration page and click Sign up.
  2. Enter your email address and a password that meets the security requirements (min. 8 characters, at least one digit and one special character).
  3. Click Create account — an activation email will be sent to the provided address.

You store and manage the password yourself. You can change it at any time in your account settings, or reset it via the "Forgot my password" link on the login page.

SSO registration (Google, Microsoft)

  1. On the Sembot registration page, click the Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft button.
  2. You will be redirected to the provider — log in there with your credentials.
  3. Once you return to Sembot, your account is ready — you do not set a separate Sembot password.

On subsequent visits, click the same SSO button — no additional credentials to remember. If your organization uses centralized account management (e.g., Microsoft Entra / Azure AD), an administrator can enforce this login method for the entire team.

Note: Once you choose a registration method, it cannot be changed at the account level. If you want to switch from email to SSO (or vice versa), please contact support.

Account confirmation

After email registration, Sembot sends a message with an activation link to the provided address. The link is valid for 24 hours.

  • Click the link in the message — your account will be activated and you will be taken directly to the panel.
  • If the message did not arrive, check your spam folder or click Resend on the login page.
  • Accounts registered via SSO do not require confirmation — your identity is verified by the provider.

Until activation, the account exists but access to the panel is blocked.

First login — what a new user sees

After activating the account and logging in for the first time, Sembot displays the onboarding wizard. It guides you through four steps:

  1. Profile setup — first name, last name, company name (can be skipped and completed later).
  2. Creating your first project — basic details, industry, store type (see chapter 2.3 for details).
  3. Connecting your first integration — e.g., Google Ads or a product feed (can be skipped).
  4. Interface overview — a short tour of the main sections of the panel.

Each step can be skipped with the Do this later button — the wizard does not block access to the panel. After closing the wizard, the new user lands on the dashboard of their project (or on the project creation screen if none exists yet).
