Manual creation — the form
A new task can be created using the create button available in the list view, or by navigating directly to the new task form. The task creation form is also accessible from the project view or the kanban board.
All form fields are optional — the system does not require any field to be filled in, although in practice the title and status are essential for meaningful use of the task. By default, a new task is assigned the status New.
Title, description, priority, due date, status
Title — a short identifier for the task, displayed in lists and in the kanban view.
Description — an extended, formatted description of the task. The field supports a rich text editor with formatting options, link insertion, and the ability to mention users with @.
Priority — defines the importance of the task. Available values:
- Very Low
- Low
- Medium
- High
- Very High
Status — defines the stage of task execution. Available values:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| New | Task is waiting to be picked up |
| In Progress | Task is currently being worked on |
| Completed | Task has been finished |
| Cancelled | Task will not be carried out |
| Ignored | Task deferred without cancellation |
| Informational | Task serves as a note or message |
Due Date — the date by which the task should be completed. Optionally, a start date can also be set. The system supports recurring tasks — the Recurrence field allows you to define a schedule (preset, start date, and end date).
Assigning to a user or team
A task can be assigned to:
- Assignee — the person responsible for completing the task. The form allows you to select one assigned user from the workspace participants.
- Collaborators — additional people involved in the task, without primary responsibility. Multiple collaborators can be added.
- Team — the task can be assigned to a team.
Assignment is done by selecting from the list of workspace participants.
Tags and labels — organizing tasks
Tasks can be tagged with Labels, which are used for semantic organization and filtering. A single task can have multiple labels at the same time.
Labels are managed from Workspace Settings (the Labels tab) and are shared across all tasks in a given account. Adding and removing labels from a task is available directly from the task form or from the list view (bulk actions).
Attachments and links
Attachments — files (images, documents, etc.) can be attached to a task. Files are uploaded to S3 storage and are accessible from the task card. Attachments can be added both when creating and when editing a task.
External links — any URL links can be placed in the task description or comments. The rich text editor supports their formatting and display.
