What are labels
Labels are a way to group and tag tasks in a workspace by any criterion — client, campaign, priority, stage of work, or any other custom categorization. A single task can have multiple labels at the same time.
Labels are managed at the workspace level and are shared across all tasks and projects within it.
Creating labels
To add a new label:
- Go to Workspace Settings
- Select the Labels tab
- Click Add new label
- Enter the label name and confirm
Assigning labels to tasks
Labels are assigned directly within a task. Tasks are accessible from the Task List in the side menu.
Adding and removing labels from a task is available:
- from the task form — directly when editing or viewing a task
- from the list view — via bulk actions on multiple tasks at once
Assigning a label does not remove others — labels stack, and a single task can have many of them.
Filtering by labels
Filtering by labels is available on the task list. In the filter panel, select the Labels field and apply an operator:
- is in — shows tasks with the selected label
- is empty — shows tasks with no labels
- is not empty — shows tasks that have at least one label
Filters can be combined with other conditions (status, priority, due date, etc.) — all filters apply simultaneously.
Naming best practices
- Use a consistent format — e.g., always lowercase or always capitalize the first letter
- Descriptive names, not generic ones —
google-ads-2026instead ofcampaign - Include market or language identifiers — e.g.,
pl,de,enas a prefix or suffix - Avoid duplicates — before creating a new label, check whether a similar one already exists
- Limit the number of labels — too many labels makes filtering harder rather than easier
