Statuses and Workflow
Table of Contents
Available Statuses
Each task has one of six statuses, divided into three groups:
| Status | Group | Description |
|---|---|---|
| New | Unresolved | Task is waiting to be picked up |
| In Progress | Unresolved | Task is currently being worked on |
| Completed | Resolved | Task has been finished |
| Cancelled | Resolved | Task will not be carried out |
| Ignored | Neutral | Task deferred without cancellation |
| Informational | Neutral | Task serves as a note or message |
Statuses in the Resolved group (Completed, Cancelled) automatically record the date and time of completion — enabling tracking of resolution time and generating statistics.
Changing Status — Manually and Through Automation
Manually — the status can be changed directly from the task card (click on the current status) or from the list and kanban view (drag the card to a different column or change it via the context menu). There are no restrictions on the order of transitions — any status can be changed to any other.
Through automation — workflows and task triggers can change the status programmatically. A status change made by the system is recorded in the task history the same way as a manual change.
Status Change History
Sembot automatically records changes made to a task, creating an activity log visible in the task card (in the communication section, as system entries).
Tracked events include:
- status change
- title change
- priority change
- due date change
- adding and removing an assigned person
- label changes
Each entry in the history contains information about who made the change and when, as well as the previous and new value of the field.
