Bulk Operations on Products
Bulk operations allow you to make changes to many products at once — without having to edit each one individually. You can edit attributes, duplicate products with new labels, hide products, and export data to a CSV file.
Table of Contents
Selecting Products
Manual Selection
Each row in the product table has a checkbox on the left side. Click the checkbox next to a product to select it. You can select multiple products at once — your selection is preserved while scrolling and navigating between pages.
Selecting All Products
Once at least one product is selected, a bulk action bar appears above the table showing a counter of selected items. There you will find the option:
- Select All — selects all products matching the currently applied filters, including those on other pages
This is especially useful when you want to operate on a large set of products — instead of selecting them page by page, simply apply the appropriate filters and click Select All.
Bulk Action Bar
After selecting products, a bar with available operations appears above the table:
[ 12 selected ] [ Select All ] [ Edit Selected ] [ Duplicate Selected ] [ × ]- The counter on the left shows how many products are currently selected.
- The × button on the right clears the entire selection.
Bulk Actions
Edit Selected
The Edit Selected action opens the "Edit Selected Products" dialog, which allows you to change a chosen attribute across all selected products simultaneously.
Step 1 — choose the column to edit
From the dropdown list, select the attribute you want to change (e.g., Visibility, Custom Label 0, Condition, Price, Availability).
Step 2 — choose the action type
Available actions depend on the selected column:
| Action | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Replace | Overwrites the current value with a new one |
| Add | Adds a value to the existing one |
| Append | Appends text at the end of the current value |
| Prepend | Inserts text before the current value |
| Substitute | Searches for a text fragment and replaces it with another |
| Uppercase | Converts the entire value to UPPERCASE |
| Lowercase | Converts the entire value to lowercase |
| Capitalized | Capitalizes the first letter of each word |
| Remove | Removes the specified fragment from the value |
Step 3 — enter the value
The value field adapts to the attribute type:
- Text — for title, description, custom labels
- Number — for price, weight
- Select list — for attributes with predefined options (e.g., Visibility, Condition, Availability)
- Find / Replace pair — for the "Substitute" action
- Date range — for date-type attributes
"Apply to manually edited fields" option
Checking this option will cause the bulk operation to also overwrite fields that were previously edited manually (marked with a green triangle). By default, fields with manual changes are skipped.
Click Apply Changes — the operation is performed on all selected products.
Changing an Attribute — Examples
Example 1 — bulk hiding of products (excluding from feed)
To exclude products from ads, change their visibility:
- Select the products you want to hide.
- Click Edit Selected.
- Column to edit: Visibility.
- Action type: Replace.
- Value: Hidden.
- Click Apply Changes.
Hidden products will not be sent to Google Merchant Center or other channels.
Example 2 — assigning a custom label
To tag selected products with a campaign label:
- Select the products.
- Click Edit Selected.
- Column to edit: Custom Label 0 (or 1–4).
- Action type: Replace.
- Value: e.g.,
summer-promo. - Click Apply Changes.
Example 3 — standardizing product condition
- Select products imported from a new supplier.
- Click Edit Selected.
- Column: Condition.
- Action: Replace → New.
- Click Apply Changes.
Duplicate Selected
The Duplicate Selected action creates copies of the selected products. It is useful when you want to have the same product in several campaign variants with different labels.
The "Create Product Duplicates" dialog contains two fields:
- Column to replace in the duplicate — select one of the custom labels (0–4) that will receive a new value in the product copy.
- Value — enter the label value for the duplicates (e.g.,
variant-b).
You can also skip the change and click Skip Changes — duplicates will be created without modifying the labels.
The duplicate inherits all data from the original. The Google product ID is automatically extended (e.g., product-123 → product-123_2).
Remove Duplicates
The Remove Duplicates option appears in the action bar only when the selected products include copies (marked with the Copy = Yes flag). It removes the selected duplicates, leaving the original products unchanged.
Bulk Import and Export via CSV
Export to CSV
The Download Products as CSV button is located in the upper right corner of the Products view.
What the export includes:
- The exported products will match the currently applied filters — if you have the "Active Products" view active, the CSV will contain only active products.
- The columns in the file correspond to the columns currently selected in the table — adjust column visibility before exporting if you need specific data.
- The file includes analytics data (Google Ads, GA4, Microsoft Advertising) if the relevant sources are enabled.
File name: products_[project-name]_[date].csv
How to export:
- Set filters to select the products you are interested in (or use a saved view).
- Adjust the visible columns (grid icon → Show Columns).
- Click Download Products as CSV.
- The file will be downloaded automatically.
Tip: CSV export is a quick way to share data with your team or with external analytics tools. Before exporting, it is worth setting up a view containing only the columns you need to keep the file readable.
Import from CSV
Importing products via CSV file is not currently available in the Products view.
To add new products to a project, use one of the following methods:
- Add New Product — button in the upper right corner of the table, opens a single product form.
- Product Feed — configure automatic product synchronization from an XML/CSV/TSV file provided by your store (details in the Product Feed section).
- Rules — bulk population of attributes for existing products (details in the Product Attributes section).
