Supported Platforms
Sembot retrieves product data from your online store in two ways:
- Feed via URL — Sembot supports product feeds available at a URL in the following formats: XML, CSV, TSV, and Google Sheets. Works with any e-commerce platform that allows product export in one of these formats.
- Shopify API — for Shopify stores, a dedicated API connection is available, configured in the Shopify connections section in Sembot.
Connection Configuration — Feed URL, Headers, Auth
The store connection is configured in the Feeds section in the Sembot side menu.
Feed URL
Enter the full URL where the product feed file is available. The URL must be accessible from Sembot's servers — make sure it is not blocked by a firewall or IP restrictions.
Example:
https://mystore.com/feed/google-shopping.xmlAccess Authorization
If the feed is secured, Sembot supports the following authorization methods:
| Method | Description |
|---|---|
| None (public URL) | Feed accessible without authorization — just provide the URL. |
| Basic Auth | Enter a username and password — Sembot will add an Authorization: Basic header to every request. |
| Token in Header | Enter the header name and token value (e.g. X-API-Key: abc123). |
| Token in URL | API key passed as a query parameter in the URL (e.g. ?api_key=abc123). |
Synchronization Schedule
Specify how frequently Sembot should fetch the feed.
